Chopped Garlic in Oil

Have you ever tried stir frying with store bought chopped garlic? I’m not sure if that type of garlic is meant for stir frying. Whenever I use it, I always ended up with a big mess. Oil will splattered all over the place.

Since garlic is very essential in my cooking.  I like to make a jar of chopped garlic in oil to keep in the fridge.  Every time I need garlic, I don’t have to take out cutting board, knife or garlic press. Having this handy at all times cuts my prep time. Every little time saver helps! More importantly, my home made chopped garlic does not make any mess unlike the store bought one.

Ingredients:

  • A bag of peeled Garlic
  • Just enough oil to cover and preserve the garlic (choose a neutral taste oil so it will easily go with different dishes)

Directions:

  • Put all the peeled garlic in the food processor.

  • Start pulsing (I don’t keep the food processor on for too long since I want to have minced garlic instead of garlic smoothie).

Chopped Garlic

  • Transfer chopped garlic to a glass jar with a lid and pour the oil until the garlic is covered.

  • Since I have two jars, I will put avocado oil in one jar and sesame oil in the other.
