Two pecan recipes in a row, what’s going on? Oh, that’s because I just bought a big bag of pecans from Costco. Out of all the nuts, pecan is my favorite one. I think it smells the best compared to all the other nuts. I love everything pecan from ice cream to pie. For now, let’s just make flourless butter pecan cookies.
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of Pecans
- 2 Tbsp of melted Butter (or Ghee if you’re on Paleo Diet)
- 3 Tbsp of Maple Syrup (or Honey or Sugar)
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Tsp of Baking Soda
- A pinch of Salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Grind the pecans with food processor until it become coarse looking flour.
- Put the rest of the ingredients together with the ground pecans.
- Mix them well (you can also just mix them with spatula)
- Form about 8 rounds of cookies and lay them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes.
- Let them cool on a wire rack.
Tips:
Keep in mind that most of my recipes are not as sweet as most American are used to. Therefore, if you like your cookies on the sweeter side, just add more syrup, honey or sugar.
If you don’t have pecans on hand, just use other nuts. If you are using store bought nuts flour, you need to adjust the measurement accordingly. Store bought nut flour tend to be very fine, so using the same measurement might result in a different texture.
Enjoy your flourless butter pecan cookies!

I love your site. Since I am also Indonesian and like you said most of the Indonesian food is fried. I am so happy you can give me some suggestions for non friend food.
Thank you and I am waiting for more helpful hints.
