I'm finding every excuse to put basil in my food. I love the smell of fresh basil a lot more than the dried version. When I was thinking of what to make for dinner, I only knew that I wanted to use basil. Just like getting dressed, I usually start with an item (or in … Continue Reading ››
I've tried making almond milk a handful of times. I like the taste of homemade almond milk because I made it richer and creamier compared to the store bought ones. I simply have a higher almond to water ratio. Also, my homemade almond milk does not have all the questionable additives that the store bought has.
As much as … Continue Reading ››
I'm baaaaccckkk! Our family just came back from a two week vacation, hence the lack of new posts. Anyway, being on vacation kind of inspired me to try and make new things. Even though our trip was packed with "kids friendly" activities, it doesn't mean that I didn't get anything out of them. Among the many places … Continue Reading ››
The problem I have with store bought gluten free bread is that they often taste like cardboard and are often loaded with high glycemic flours (i.e rice flour, tapioca flour, potato flour etc). There's nothing inherently wrong with these flours, but if you have a tendency for elevated blood sugar you want to minimize your consumption … Continue Reading ››

This "Asparagus Wrapped with Bacon" is very self explanatory. I'm not even sure that I can call this a recipe. It's just wrapping bunches of asparagus with bacon. You can add seasoning if you'd like, but asparagus wrapped with bacon alone will taste good by itself.
I cook everyday on weekdays. It's hard to be original when you cook that often. Sometimes, I just take the same ingredients and just make something that looks different so that my kids will not say "That again???"
My favorite thing to do with bell peppers is to stuff them. I think they're like nature's perfect … Continue Reading ››
My friend shared this recipe over the weekend. When I saw it, I knew that I have to try it. Not because it's titled "World's Best Chicken" but because it is super simple. The fact that lots of people are raving about it, made me want to try it even … Continue Reading ››
